Exciting announcement - Country Club Estate

Country Club Tasmania is excited to share plans for a major upgrade to our golf course.

CCT recently announced plans to redevelop the course in partnership with the internationally acclaimed Beau Welling, from Tiger Woods’ golf course project team.
The plans are in the early stages, however the Country Club Championship golf course will see the existing course completely overhauled, to create a world-class experience.

The new course will introduce:

18-holes

Nine new holes will be constructed, and nine of the existing holes will be upgraded, under the proposed redevelopment.

A new driving range and golf academy

The new driving range and golf academy will be a venue for experienced golfers to practice their game and will also provide a state-of-the-art teaching facility for new golfers, including juniors.

Environmental sustainability

The golf course will benefit from best–practice environmental construction and maintenance methods, in accordance with international regulatory bodies.

A Tasmanian golf trail

Just one hour’s drive from Barnbougle and Lost Farm, the three courses will combine as the ultimate golfing trifecta; a major drawcard for the local and international golfing community.

Beau Welling Design (BWD) is a globally-recognised golf course design team from the USA, with over 50 years of experience. More than 100 BWD golf courses have won international accolades, and several have become major championship venues. BWD has worked on famous courses like Blue Jack National, El Cardonal, Payne’s Valley, Jack’s Bay and Trump World Golf Club Dubai.

Beau Welling is currently designing one of the two 18-hole golf courses at the $500 million new PGA of America headquarters, which is destined to be a venue for the PGA Championship. The Country Club course will be BWD’s first project in Australia.

The golf course upgrade is part of a larger residential development that we’re proposing with our parent company Federal Group and partner Kin Capital. It would feature mixed-sized residential lots, space for aged care and retirement living; a new village hub, a large park and open spaces, bike and walking trails, as well as upgraded horse trails.

The journey is just beginning, and we’ll keep you updated as the project progresses.
